I blame  for my new watercolor addiction. Her work has inspired me to try out watercolors again, and I am in love with this medium now! Beats the heck out of colored pencils that's for sure!!

After she passed away four months ago...



Now...

I have never really done a lot of experimenting with just regular graphite pencil, and I am really impressed with the results. I like it so much more than colored pencil and pen!! I am not sure now whether or not to continue drawing the other pieces I've been working on. They seem childish compared to this recent drawing. o.o Seriously, I have no idea what came over me... It's like night and day.

I am currently working on three pieces right now. Hopefully I will have one done by later today. I've been doing a lot of sketching, and that gets me going onto drawing a complete picture. It's just more fun that way than to plan on drawing something from a photo... Then I never get it done. lol Unless I got paid for drawing... Though I don't think I am ready to do commissions for people yet. Maybe in the near future. I just need to keep practicing, and build up my skills. =]

I have a random question for my watchers, do you guys think my username is unusual? Even though I like it, I am thinking about changing it. Which means I would have to make a new account, which I don't feel like doing. lol The reason why I feel my username is unusual is because when others say it out-loud, it sounds like they are calling themselves "TheEvy", which is kind of weird... I don't know. What do you guys think?

My mom and I had to put Zoey down last Wednesday. Her test results came back and she was suffering from kidney disease. I was able to give her a few more weeks of life with fluid injections, but her body couldn't handle the disease anymore. She collapsed on Tuesday night and started having convulsions every couple of minutes. The next day she was still alive, but couldn't get up. So we took her to the SPCA Animal Hospital, where she went away peacefully. I am relieved that she is no longer in pain, but I miss her so much. The house feels so empty, and I feel like a part of me is missing.


I miss you Zoey, you were the greatest dog anyone could ever ask for. Dogs like you are one in a million. I love you.
